UK/POLAND SEASON 2025
We are proud to collaborate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Cultural Institute in London, Let’s Art Foundation and Fleet Street Quarter Business Improvement District (FSQ) to present the works of Oskar Zięta and Alicja Patanowska as part of the UK/POLAND SEASON co-organised by the British Council.
Oskar Zieta's 'Whispers' will form the centrepiece of Fleet Street Quarter Business Improvement District's (BID) programme during the London Festival of Architecture from June 2025.
This original piece reflects on the Festival's theme 'Voices' and will be accompanied by a series of talks, walking tours, and other installations across the area. It’s created in cooperation with Fleet Street Quarter BID, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Culture Institute, Let's Art Foundation and On&On Designs. This is a unique, collective undertaking that will combine art, innovative design and sustainability.
Oskar Zięta's latest installation, Whispers, is a captivating public sculpture currently showcased in London’s Fleet Street Quarter as part of the London Design Festival (more info).
Unveiled on May 29, 2025 as the launch of the London Festival of Architecture, the installation embodies the theme "Voices" of this year’s festival and combines art, technology, and public engagement in a unique way. Created using Zięta’s proprietary FiDU technology, which uses compressed air to deform steel sheets into lightweight spatial forms, Whispers consists of two cylindrical metal forms—a taller unenclosed one and a lower circular one.
These inviting structures encourage visitors to interact by resting, reflecting, or even whispering within the intimate enclosed space the sculpture creates amid the busy urban environment on Ludgate Hill. Whispers serves as both a physical and symbolic gesture, highlighting the presence and importance of individual voices in shaping urban spaces.
Designed to break down barriers and foster connection, the installation offers a space for quiet contemplation or social interaction, reflecting the ongoing transformation of Fleet Street from a historic center of publishing to a modern hub of culture and innovation.
The project is a collaborative effort involving Fleet Street Quarter BID, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Cultural Institute in London, On&On Designs and Let’s Art Foundation, emphasising cultural dialogue between Poland and the UK.

November 2024 - November 2025 - Plantation by Alicja Patanowska
Fleet Street Quarter Business Improvement District is proud to be showcasing ‘Plantation’, an installation by leading Polish artist Alicja Patanowska, in our Urban Farmer Project. Alicja's work considers the intersection of art and sustainability, finding beauty in the discarded and creating life from waste. Plantation encourages a deeper appreciation for plants and the environment. This project consists of handcrafted porcelain elements designed for hydroponic plant cultivation, paired with repurposed drinking glasses. By exposing root systems, the design highlights themes of sustainability, regeneration, and the overlooked beauty of natural processes.
The installation is a cooperation with Fleet Street Quarter BID, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Culture Institute, Let's Art Foundation and On&On Designs.
Plantation is available to be viewed daily from 10am to 4pm throughout 2025.
Adress: 18 Wine Office Court, EC4 London, UK
